Things Worth Doing, 1-25

Mighty Girl was the first blog I ever read on a regular basis, and is still one of my favorites. Her recent 100 Things Worth Doing is so amazing. Inspired isn't a strong enough word to describe how these made me feel when I read them. Because I love lists (like many of my internet heroes) I am going to compile, in no particular order, my "Things Worth Doing" here. I'll do installments. Like Maggie, I've put 25 together for the first part.

  1. Exchanging vows with Conrad
  2. Lying in bed, Mom reading "Little House on the Prairie" out loud
  3. Feet leaving the floor of the airplane, the Keys and the aqua water below
  4. Mastering the Times Step, 6th grade tap class
  5. Riding in a Firebird with Dad, barking third gear
  6. Eating a raw oyster
  7. Walking down the red carpet in Cannes with Tiffany
  8. Hula hoop contests in the living room with Angela
  9. Riding in the big farm cart, smell of fresh-cut hay
  10. First time down the big waterslide, Lake Lanier Islands Waterpark
  11. Drawing pictures in the sand until dawn with Conrad
  12. Singing "Peaceful Easy Feeling" to a packed karaoke bar, engaged just hours before
  13. Quoting lines from "Clueless" with Wendy, ad nauseum
  14. First real trapeze show with Julia: pink unitards, Sigur Ros
  15. Finally being able to do a pull-up
  16. Crowd surfing at a three-day festival
  17. Beers with Chuck Klosterman at Manhattan Cafe
  18. Late night, Dad bringing home a baby cocker spaniel
  19. Playing barber with Daddy Royce
  20. Friday night in the football stadium, rolling cheerleading mats across the grass
  21. Popping champagne corks at breakfast on the Riviera
  22. Raking leaf paths in the woods with Angela
  23. Purple pleather coat, last day of 8th grade
  24. Rapping along with every word, 4th-row Outkast concert
  25. Windows down, purposely getting lost on country roads
