That is one of the most haunting songs I can think of, and now I'm going to be forced to watch Capote. Crap.
But seriously, I've read "In Cold Blood," and as incredible as the book is, Phillip Seymour Hoffman brought new meaning to it, for me. The book definitely humanizes killer Perry Smith, but the movie shows the other side of that, how Truman Capote's quest to tell this story wasn't wholly innocent. I saw myself in both the characters, and like that song, it was terrifying.
