Soul Music Slow Jam Lowdown
- Event location: Canopy Trapeze Studio is where April practices and teaches aerial dance several times a week. To find out more about the studio, visit Canopy Studio's Web site.
- No shoes: The studio's dance floor is made of sprung bamboo, a very soft wood that nicks easily. For this reason, there are no shoes allowed on the floor. There will be a shoe check at the party for safekeeping while you dance.
- BYOB: There will be some beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) provided at the party, however, we ask that you bring a bottle of wine or a spirit to share if you wish.
- Directions: In case you didn't read the info in your invite, here you go: From Prince Avenue, go north on Barber Street. Cross the railroad tracks and make the next left onto Tracy Street. Canopy Studio is on the right behind the cement plant. And there's also MapQuest, people. Get on it.
- DJ Mahogany: He'll be playing awesome soul music slow jams from the 60s, 70s and early 80s. Get ready for his quiet storm!
- Stylin' and profilin': Sport 60s formal wear if possible, a la the pimp-ass Motown legends. I'll post costume ideas here.
